Teass Warren Architects is a boutique design firm in Washington, D.C., specializing in high-quality architecture and interior design for infill projects. We blend innovative design with export project management to help homeowners, developers, and business owners transform their spaces and realize their vision.

The Team

Will Teass, AIA

Managing Principal

Co-founder and Managing Principal, Will is responsible for developing and promoting the firm’s vision while ensuring clients’ interests and goals are met.

Charles Warren, AIA

Principal of Design

Co-founder and Principal of Design, Charles brings to the practice over 20 years of exceptional design experience. He is focused on ensuring consistent, high-quality design for every project.

Madeline Sambor, AIA

Associate

A key team member since 2017, Madeline brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to a wide range of project types. She also leads the firm’s philanthropy initiatives, fostering community engagement through design.

Stevie Bishop

Office Manager

As the Office Manager, Stevie does a little bit of everything, from keeping the office supplied with the necessities (printer ink, batteries, coffee!) to requesting consultant invoices and planning office events. She is also training as a Project Administrator, helping Project Leads keep the permitting process moving.

Theodor Harasim

Project Lead

Theo joined our team in 2025, bringing over five years of experience from the NYC market: high-end residential, commercial, and contemporary office design and construction. He is passionate about sustainability and its relationship to architecture, with the goal of integrating passive design principles in every project.

Dailong Ma

Design Lead

Dailong has been a key part of our team for over 8 years, contributing to a diverse range of projects with creativity, precision, and a collaborative spirit. Navigating complex design challenges, he brings a balanced approach that blends technical expertise with an eye for thoughtful, human-centered design solutions.

Philip Dayao, Assoc. AIA

Designer

Philip is a driven designer, curious about how space, culture, and material intersect to shape meaningful environments. He also serves as the firm's Continuing Education Coordinator, where he fosters engagement with emerging materials, technologies, and sustainable practices.

Michael Mattson

Designer

Michael finds great satisfaction in picking apart complex design problems and teasing out thoughtful solutions. Outside the studio, he enjoys hand and digital sketching and searches for inspiring architecture all around DC.

Sabireen Alim

Designer

Sabireen is passionate about crafting spaces with purpose and personality that are shaped by their context and by the people who inhabit them. When she's not designing, you'll likely find her painting, crocheting, or out sketching.

Kora Stafford

Accounting

Kora has served as the TWA Financial Director since 2014. She currently owns and operates her own accounting firm, Streamline Source, contracting with small business in the DC area. Although she has a knack for spreadsheets and numbers, she also enjoys lifting weights and all sorts of adventures in her free time.
