Designed in collaboration with developer Coba Properties, this new construction estate on Millwood Lane in Northwest DC’s Kent neighborhood is among the firm’s most expansive single-family commissions.

Spread across four levels and nearly 9,400 square feet, the six-bedroom residence is organized around a central elevator that serves every floor — from the garage and lower level to the main living spaces above, and continuing all the way to a covered rooftop loggia that crowns the composition.

The top-floor loggia, open to the treetops of one of DC’s most coveted residential streets, anchors an outdoor program that extends well beyond it: a resort-style pool and separate pool house deliver more than 1,000 square feet of covered exterior living, set level with the main floor of the home for seamless indoor-outdoor connection.

The exterior composition of clapboard siding and stucco is carefully scaled to the generous 13,000-square-foot parcel. Interior design by Studio Sophîste and landscape architecture by Richardson & Associates rounded out the collaboration.
